I graduated from the University of Florida with a Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction (ESOL/Bilingual Education). I got my master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Pennsylvania. I have worked with elementary and middle school students to support their bilingual and biliteracy development in China, Singapore, and across the United States. I have also worked with educators in the United States, preparing them to support the bilingual children academically and emotionally at school. My research focuses on teacher education, bilingual education, just-oriented pedagogy, queer educators professional development, and arts-based research methodology.
